We are currently seeking someone for the position of Automation and Robotics Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible to support our internal and external customers in automation, robotics and industrial system computerization projects.

Role and Responsabilities

• Manage all phases of technical implementation on projects;
• Assist sales to evaluate the automation project costs;
• Program various kinds of PLCs (Omron, Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.);
• Program various kinds of operator interfaces (HMI/SCADA);
• Develop electrical designs for power, automated systems and control panels;
• Select power and control electrical components;
• Oversee implementation of automated systems at the customer’s site;
• Establish diagnostics to correct problems or improve the systems;
• Perform troubleshooting on automated and robotic systems;
• Design and approve safety features for automated or robotic installations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Automated Production Engineering, Industrial Automation and Instrumentation, Industrial Electronics, or in a related discipline;
• At least 2 years of relevant experience;
• Available to work with customers outside of the office;
• Advanced English;
• Knowledge of electrical design software;
• Knowledge of PLC programming software;
• Knowledge of robot programming software (an asset);
• Knowledge of mechanical design software (an asset).
