We are currently seeking a highly professional, self-motivated, Country Manager for China. Reporting to the Head of Sales, APAC the Country Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of the China team. The Country Manager leads, manages and develops market strategies for the China mainland territory, and is responsible for driving the company’s sales organization in China, as well has having a strategic leadership role to lead and support the business unit in the achievement of its overall targets.

Role and Responsabilities

  • Participating with the HQ and management team in the continued development and implementation of the business plan and strategic direction for the company with a specific focus on sales;
  • Ensuring understanding and pursuit of organizational vision, values and company philosophy, such as value creation, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and mutual respect in the sales organization;
  • Researching and developing strategies and plans to identify marketing opportunities, direct marketing and new product introductions;
  • Managing, in close collaboration with marketing, various sales and marketing activities to further penetrate the market to obtain additional growth and market shares;
  • Developing and implementing key account strategies for existing and new accounts;
  • Managing the local China team operations on a day-to-day basis;
  • Hiring new employees, establishing performance objectives, goals and criteria, evaluate performance, and identify opportunities for growth and development;
  • Providing support and direction to the team in the development and accomplishment of goals, objectives and action plans;
  • Preparing strategy reviews, reviewing proposals, and preparing necessary supporting documentation. Recommending courses of corrections, if necessary;
  • Developing and managing sales and marketing budgets, and ensuring the development and management of internal operating budgets;
  • Establishing communication with the various departments at the headquarters (Sales, HR, Finance, Support, Production);
  • Implementing and activating the use of Customers Global Relationship Management System.

Our perfect match...

  • University degree in Business Administration/Commerce or Marketing;
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales and sales management;
  • Industry experience in the electronics, telecom, hi-tech, or an adjacent business-to-business environment;
  • Experience with active use of CRM systems is a must;
  • Bilingual (Chinese and English);
  • Experienced strategist and business builder;
  • Proven leadership, a track record in growing and developing accounts;
  • Proven track record of successfully managing value-added sales of a market-leading industrial product brand;
  • Knowledge of best-in-class training; process and sales force effectiveness tools;
  • Dynamic, confident, driven and articulate leader who interacts effectively at all levels of the organization, with an ability to forge high trust relationships;
  • Hungry for results and will be comfortable getting into the details to build and execute plans;
  • Experience with training, developing and motivating people.
