The primary responsibility of this position will be to assist the Senior Network Administrator in performing daily, weekly, quarterly and annual tasks to secure, enhance and maintain the company's network and data. Your projects will lead you to

• Maintain and enhance the company network, including firewalls, servers, storage units and switches;
• Maintain server rooms and their components in good condition;
• Monitor the company's core network systems and repair/remediate problems;
• Backup the company's data and rotate data tapes;
• Perform Windows updates in Microsoft's WSUS service;
• Perform user security management on file servers;
• Participate in the quarterly maintenance and data recovery exercise in case of major failure;
• Update network plans and network documentation;
• Provide a high level of customer service when dealing with users;

Requirements

• Has worked for 2 to 5 years as a computer technician;
• Has a college (AEC and non-technical) or university education in networking;
• Is bilingual (French, English);
• Has previously participated in large-scale IT projects;
• Is able to manage pressure and priorities;
• Has a strong interest in user support (you are the first person your friends consult when it comes to IT?)
• Is familiar with the ITIL approach;
• Knows IT systems such as: IT Ticketing, VMware, Veeam, CheckPoint, HP, Active Directory, Fortimail or Exchange;
• Holds certifications related to the networking field (a great asset!).
