Scientific Developer
Our R&D team is looking for a new Scientific Developer to join their dynamic team!
The main responsibility of this position is to design, develop and fine-tune future sensor platforms, including 3D scanning principles, hardware configurations, as well as operating software for the capture, 3D modeling and inspection technologies commercialized by the company. As part of a multidisciplinary development team, he/she is responsible for the hardware or software architecture of the systems developed as well as for developing and prototyping high-performance algorithms related to 3D measurement, 3D geometry and image processing and for making an optimized and validated final implementation.
You'll be responsible for
- Contribute to the development of new architectures related to 3D measurement, new 3D scanning principles and application software related to capture technologies;
- Contribute to the development of modeling and calibration methods for systems;
- Prototype using interactive environments such as Matlab and Python;
- Implement and optimize algorithms in C++ language by efficiently exploiting available CPU and GPU resources;
- Test and validate experimentally the developed concepts;
- Contribute to the development of tools to support the production of products;
- Collaborate with other developers to integrate developments into current or future products;
- Interact with test, support and production teams to ensure product quality;
- Follow established development processes, work methods and standards.
You will feel at home if you
- University degree in computer engineering, software engineering, engineering physics, electrical engineering, computer science or mathematics (relevant graduate degree is an asset);
- Experience / knowledge in the following areas:
- General computer vision and image processing;
- Projective geometry, matrix calculation and numerical optimization methods;
- C++ programming, GPU/Cuda, Optimization, Matlab;
- Computer architecture;
- Be comfortable speaking French and English.
