We are currently looking for a Technician/Technologist in Electrical or Electronical Engineering for the Creaform office located in Laval. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining and using an electrical and electronical laboratory. Additional tasks include: performing various tests and measurements under the direction and/or the supervision of electrical engineers in order to meet the electrical requisites for all customer types and actively taking part in the development of innovative electrical solutions by joining a high-level multidisciplinary team.

Role and Responsabilities

• Completing tests and various measures, according to either team-created requisites or as requested by the customers;
• Assembling and/or welding electronical and electrical components in a prototyping context to validate concepts;
• Keeping records of all test requests;
• Compiling results in files and creating models (tables) adapted for every test type;
• Maintaining all results files on the network methodically and coherently;
• Analyzing the capacity of the electrical lab in completing various requested tests and recommend acquiring new equipment accordingly;
• Attending multidisciplinary technical meetings, especially for the evaluation and the development of tests to be performed;
• Interacting with the testing devices suppliers for repairs, improvements, replacement or any other bid requests;
• Taking charge of the annual device calibration;
• Keeping the electrical laboratory tidy and present it to customers, if needed.

Required Profile

• DEC (2 or 3 years) in Electrical or Electronical Engineering;
• Certification as an electrical or electronical engineering technologist or a technician, as offered by the Provincial Association of Applied Sciences or Engineering Technician or Technologist. A supervized internship of at least 2 years is required;
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience;
• Knowledge of the typical measuring tools and devices usually used in an electrical tests laboratory (oscilloscope, multimeter and more);
• Various electronical circuits design abilities and experience in the disassembly of micro-welding;
• Atmel type firmware programming;
• Skilled with MS Office;
• Familiar with the transport industry standards, an asset;
• Bilingual (French/English, written and spoken).
